We are hiring: Office Manager (with sales)

The Role:

You will be responsible for taking inbound phone sales, invoicing, client management and liaising with sales/operations in a office team of 4 to 5 individuals. You will report to the General Manager. You will be paid a basic salary + commission and eligible for the weekly bonus system. OTE £30k.

Whilst prior experience in office administration or sales is desirable, full training will be provided. The successful candidate must be motivated, solution orientated and a real people person.

Your hours will be Monday to Friday 0830 – 1730h, but where required you will be expected to work later during busy periods (summer is the busiest period). You will work one Saturday morning per month which will be compensated with a half day off the following week.

The ideal candidate is someone who wants to be challenged, learn new skills and to develop as an individual.

Must Have Skills:

  • Visa to work in the UK or EU/UK Passport.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
  • Commercial experience is desirable (any size business, small or large)
  • Sales experience is desirable as you will be dealing with new & prospective clients over the phone. (inbound sales only)
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve, independently and unsupervised (the role will require you to work outside normal working hours during busy periods).
  • The ability to multi-task & have a sense of humour
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Previous leadership roles is desirable (management or sporting)

Position Available – Removals Surveyor

Removals Surveyor

Kiwi Movers is a growing Removals and Logistics company that is now recruiting for a Removals Surveyor to assist potential customers (domestic and commercial) with quotations for their removals.

The role will involve going to prospective customers homes to measure and provide quotations and suggest packaging and methods for customers.

The role will be partly office based and partly out at different properties providing quotations.

The ideal candidate will be able to type quotations for customers and complete administrative tasks in the office as well as promote the company in people’s homes.

You will need to be of smart appearance

Have good administrative skills

Be able to calculate figures quickly and precisely

Be trustworthy and reliable

Have excellent customer service skills

Have previous experience of dealing with customers over the phone and face to face

Have a valid visa

The role comes with a scooter and as such, due to insurance purposes you must be aged 25+

Previous experience in removals is a bonus, but we are looking for a candidate with an outgoing personality and drive. Full training will be provided.

This role is based around the hours of 8am until 6pm- Monday to Friday although due to the nature of the role and the travelling involved sometimes you may be required to work later than 6pm and possibly the occasional weekend.

The role will consist of a salary + commission with OTE of £23 – £26k.

JOB VACANCY – Foreman (Team Supervisor)

Job summary:
To oversee all operations function for Kiwi Movers, including but not limited to, the allocation of labour for jobs, vehicles and all equipment operated by Kiwi Movers. The Foreman will also assist on jobs where required and be responsible for the actions of the team assigned to the job where applicable (as a driver or porter).

Minimum requirements:
– Must hold a valid UK work permit
– Must hold a valid driver’s licence (UK preferred – notify of any points given)
– Fit and healthy with a sports enjoyment factor
– Good command of verbal and written English
– Able to work weekends and public holidays
– Able to work out of hours and be on call 24/7 for emergencies
– Have good knowledge of fleet & project management
– Have excellent communication skills to liaise with new and prospective clientèle
– Have basic handyman skills to assemble fixtures and fittings
– Minimum age requirement: 25yrs
– Must have 2yr work visa and/or EU passport Holder

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist and carry out duties as directed by the Operations /General Manager
– Complete all jobs as tasked in accordance with Driver/Porter duties
– Allocate all labour to jobs in advance
– Oversee & maintain storage units
– Plan, implement and oversee all staff training for drivers and porters
– Run weekly meetings with team leaders and the office Administrator
– Ensure that all vehicle equipment and engines are checked weekly
– Maintain the ‘Ops’ board for the current and forthcoming week
– Ensure all vehicles are maintained regularly and permits kept up to date;
– All vehicle maintenance is scheduled & completed to avoid down time
– Conduct an operations update with the General Manager (min. bi-weekly)
– Ensure all H&S requirements are satisfied accordingly before any jobs take place
– Maintain RAMS for the Kiwi Group and/or on a project by project basis
– Monitor all sub-contractors licence and visa status for insurance & legal purposes
– Ensure weekly checks are done on all tool boxes; stock control and sign off register
